Something I hear people say all the time is, “I don’t have time to listen to podcasts.”
When I hear this, my internal voice says, “WHAAAT?!?!”
I usually nod, like I understand. I don’t want to come across as being "judgy". Who am I to criticize another person’s priorities?
But, I do have this blog, right? So let me say this:
What I really hear when someone says that they don’t have time to listen to podcasts, is that they don’t value podcasts enough to make time to listen to them. This, I don't understand.
We’re all busy. We’re inundated with work, news, social media updates, homework, paying the bills, etc. I’m not immune to “busy”; I’m overwhelmed by my to-do list on a daily basis! That's why I listen to podcasts!
Podcasts can be an escape, a resource, or both. They can entertain you or provide you with valuable information and ideas for your busy life. That's the value that podcasts provide, and that's why I make time to listen to them. It's why I suggest that other people do, too.

I gave myself 90 seconds to think of situations and places that are great for podcast listening. Next time you hear someone say “I don’t have time to listen to podcasts”, toss out one of these suggestions.
